  1. Hello Everyone:

First, I would like to thank all those who are posting information about our offered programs. I highly appreciate it.

Regarding the Legislative Fellows Program (LFP) posted above, this is a 3-week training program for Kuwaiti Professionals. LFP is fully funded by the US State Department.

The targeted audience for this program include the following:

    – Individuals that hold a degree in Law, Political Science, International Studies or any related field.

    – Individuals who hold a degree in a different field must either be:

    (A) an individual working in a public/governmental sector and is involved in one way or another in the legislative/governmental/political processes that are implemented in that particular sector…(eg. professionals working in the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuwaiti National Assembly, Audit Bureau of the Governmental Department, Kuwait Diplomatic Institute,….etc.)

    (B) an individual who is highly interested in the legislative and political processes and is an active member in the community through one of Kuwait’s public organizations, societies, etc. (eg. Kuwait Graduate Society, Kuwait Law Associaton, Kuwait Human Rights Association, Election Campaigns, Law-related blogspots, Kuwait Voice Organization, etc.)

So, I just wanted to clarify that this fellowship is not tailored to individuals who have a degree in Law, but open to people who are working or active in the community on a voluntary basis.

Also, eligible applicants must fullfill the age requirement: (25 – 40 years old).

I hope this has helped clarify the picture. The rest of the program information is stated in the post above.

If you have any further inquiries, please email me on: rzalzala@amideast.org.

Once again, thank you for all your support and efforts put into releasing our program information to the public through your website.

    Kind Regards,
    Rasha
